The urban design element within NPAD is designed to create, form, transform, and recreate the built-environment. Through an intensive investigative study of the social, economic, and built-environment the urban design element engages the users, clients, and decision makers in the physical realm of the environment. The steps involved include:

Our ability to offer urban design as a creative, visionary and productive tool increases NPAD's comprehensive approach and commitment. Because our urban design sections works closely with the planning section, a more realistic product can be achieved. One key aspect is the reinforcement of the 'Community Action Plan' with involves regional linkages, current built environment and future development patterns.
